Agapanthus are a very popular garden flower variety because of their shape, size and colour. The Agapanthus is a large globe-shaped clusters of funnel-shaped flowers at the end of a tall leafless stem.

Caring for Agapanthus

For purchasing, look for a tight cluster, just showing colour, or with a few blooms open.

For conditioning, remove two to three inches of the stem with a sharp knife. Allow the stem to fully hydrate in a solution of water and commercial floral preservative before storage or arranging in a cool, low lit environment.

Vase Life: 5 to 7 days with individual florets blooming continuously over several days
