Caring for Bouvardia

For purchasing, make sure that only one or two flowers are opening on each stem.

For conditioning, remove all foliage below the waterline, cut with a sharp knife or scissors and hydrate in a solution of water with flower food for a couple of hours before storage or usage.

The flower variety is prone to water loss and is sensitive to ethylene gas.

Use specialist flower food if provided by the wholesalers. This use can be reduced in water.
