In this tutorial, our tutor will be showing you how to create a simple, but effective contemporary design using long lasting flowers and foliage. You will learn the mechanics and techniques involved, along with top tips throughout.
Carnations and Chrysanthemums are sometimes considered old fashioned, however, by employing a contemporary style of design to these varieties, they can be viewed in a different, more modern light.
All of the flower varieties, which are Carnations, Cymbidiums and Chrysanthemums are long lasting varieties, so perform well in a corporate environment. On this occasion, we have chosen a pink and purple theme, however it can be made in a suitable colour palette to embrace branding or to promote a product launch.
If you wish to create this with more eco-friendly techniques, you can use a pin holder or frog in the base of the container, along with chicken wire to help support the stems into position.
