Suspended Installation using Dried and Faux Flowers

In this demonstration, our tutor will show you the mechanics, techniques and plant materials involved in constructing a dried hanging installation to hang above a table. This design is ideal any type of event including a dinner party, an afternoon tea, hen party or birthday lunch. Alternatively, the construction can be made for workspace such as a hair or beauty salon or in a shop window.

Due to the use of faux and dried flowers, the construction can be left in situ (as long as it is in a dry environment, out of direct sunlight) or de-constructed and re-purposed for another design.

Should you wish to recreate the design, you will need the following:

1	Chicken wire
2	Planks of wood (decorative, slats or even a ladder)
1 roll	Natural twine, rope or cable twines (depending on weight of wood used)
1 bunch	Dried Eucalyptus Baby Blue
1 bunch	Faux Eucalyptus Baby Blue
1-2 stems	Faux Hellebores
1 stem	Faux Hydrangea Lilac
10 stems	Craspedia Dried (could use fresh and will dry in situ)
1 bunch	Dried/ Bleached Broom
2-3 bunches	Dried Statice / Limonium Mixed
