Thank you for joining us for this month’s video focussing on wedding and bridal work. Today I am going to show you how to create a custom made, elegant and unique hat decoration using faux flowers.

This is an excellent way to complete the attire by avoiding heavy flowers that may drag down lighter, delicate fabric, or even cause pin holes in expensive clothing. It can be made as elaborate or delicate as desired, and is suitable not only for weddings, but can be used to brighten up a sun  hat for an afternoon stroll or a tea party or provide a stunning accessory for a day at the races. 

Technique: Single Leg Mount

Top tips:

• This design, using both artificial or dried flowers, can be made up in advance and stored in a dust free environment away from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Artificial flowers are incredibly lightweight and not easily damaged
• You can select colours that match perfectly with the chosen outfit. Mother nature doesn’t always provide the required tone or shade, so artificial or even dried flowers prove a great alternative!
